Voice and Choice

If you are aged 55 or over and live in Islington, and are interested in expressing your views to decision-makers then we want to hear from you.

More about Voice and Choice

If you join this group you will receive lots of information about meetings, events and training courses. All the events are relaxed and friendly with free refreshments. You will also have the chance to meet like-minded people and feel more supported.

During these get-togethers you will have the chance to find out more about:

  • Your Rights and local services, for example local health services
  • How to raise your concerns, and sort out problems
  • How to make complaints where necessary
  • How to become more confident, speaking out about what you think, and being assertive
  • You will also have the chance to speak directly to decision-makers, and service providers

English classes

If you speak another language we offer classes to improve your English to help you raise your views more easily.

Travel expenses can be paid - including taxi costs if you have a disability.

If you would like an interpreter so you can come to one of our meetings, this can also be arranged.

Our “Have your Say! Guide” has lots of useful contacts on how to suggest improvements and sort out problems with services in Islington. We also have a “Would you like some help? Guide” for older refugees, their families and friends. If you would like more information about Voice and Choice or if you would like to have one of the free guides then please contact the Voice and Choice Project Manager on 020 7281 6018 or via admin@acislington.org.uk.
